There is neither male nor female in Christ. Anoint is the Greek verb chrio (from which we derive Christos = Christ = the Anointed One) occurs 4 other times in Scripture and all refer to Christ (Lk 4:18, Acts 4:27, Acts 10:38, Heb 1:9) The related noun chrisma describes the anointing with the Holy Spirit ALL believers receive when they receive Christ (1Cor 12:13) When we are told there is neither male or female in Christ, we find that there is a limit to this statement. That is "in Christ", that is because both would be anointed with the same Holy Spirit. The breath of God or the Holy Spirit is one of the same. Once we obey Deut. 6:8-9 God has us put on His Word. The Word He spoke to the nation of Israel who was to be spread. Israel failed to do so and instead honored the law of their elders making God's law void, much like the Christians do today. That spoken Word came from the mouth of God, later to write His Word with His own finger, then later that Word became flesh, we know Him as Jesus. Jesus, God's law hung the cross, Jesus is also the Law written on the heart. Jesus sent preachers out to preach about Him so others would come to believe. But somewhere we dropped the baton so others could be baptized in The Word instead of just the water. That Holy Spirit didn't land on those baptized in water, as it is still today. Being baptized in the Holy Spirit is just the beginning of our Armour. As we learn from the law, then prophets, and N.T. we find ourselves anointed to even the feet with the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Jesus, and the Holy Ghost. It is time we go learn from God how to be a Christian that we can spread the whole Gospel to those who grow to love God. May we all become one 'In Christ'.

I am a Christian mother of a 24 year old son who just told me he has been struggling with gender dysphoria since he/she was in second grade. She only recently figured out why she was so uncomfortable with her male body. As she shared with me she broke down crying and I held her with acceptance and the love that I know our heavenly Father has for her despite this gender struggle. Father I pray that the church gains a better understanding and more compassion regarding this very challenging issue.🙏🙏 My son felt tormented for many years and is still suffering despite coming out to me.😢

I too appreciate having heard this talk. I will listen at least another 2xs so I get more understanding of what all was said. The video was shared to me from my very close friend whom I love, I believe that my friend is IN Christ. My friend was born male but CHOOSES to live as female. He shared with me a short version of his life story after our meeting 20+ yrs ago. I met him when he was early in his transition to female. I will admit though that I have never appreciated his choice (or anyone else's) to exchange the Gender God gave him, for the other. I have compassion for everyone that is delt a difficult burden to carry in life. But after everything I recall hearing Dr. Yarhouse say about Gender Dysphoria it added to my opinion that it is a 'condition'. I believe a person would honor God best by 'fighting' the condition, not giving in to it. I would compare it to that of Addiction, which the Medical Establishments now determine it as a 'condition' not a 'choice'. Certainly, no Christian would believe we are to embrace or give in to Alcoholism, Drug use, Eating Disorders or Sexual Addiction! I love my friend and am glad he is happy in his life. But I believe what is going on in our Society is bigger and more dangerous than many are letting themselves realize. Dr. Yarhouse put no 'caution' on what is happening to CHILDREN at an alarming rate! Instead, I took him to be encouraging 'youth' who may be dealing with Gender issues to 'go with it'. I think he was irresponsible in this. I wish he would have encouraged young people to seek GOD with counseling and suggest slow playing any final decision about their Gender. Even when addressing an adult struggling with this 'issue', it would seem to me to be more Christ-like to help them resist becoming someone as un-natural as a man in a womans body or a woman in a mans body, which is not the Gender HE created them in. The Bible is actually an incredible Testament to the work of the holy spirit, both in the church as a whole and in the formation of the canon. The simple fact is that there was no early document or council that canonized the current new and old testament books and no others. This means that the perfectly consistent 66 books we have today came to be known as the Bible purely by Christians reading them and deciding under the guidance of the spirit if they were authoritative. If you look at it from a historical perspective the work of the spirit was right on time, refining and solidifying the current list right up until printing was invented. Of course there will always be evil intentioned men who try to pollute the scriptures but the fact that hardly anyone has actually read the apocryphal books and 5 billion copies of the Bible have been sold proves which the spirit backs and that no one can kill the true word of God.
